For whatever reason, my first idea for a playlist theme was covers. Maybe because Michael Cera Palin's version of "If It Makes You Happy" is one of my favorite recent discoveries. Maybe because I love sharing Weezer's version of "Unbreak My Heart." It was long before their covers album (which is trash), and it's a good example of what Weezer doing covers *should* sound like. Maybe because every song on Mark Ronson's Version is a total jam. OR maybe I because I love spreading the good word about Willis Alan Ramsey, the deeply under-celebrated country singer/songwriter who wrote the original "Muskrat Love."
