Yeah, the world is up side down right now. I hope you are all finding positives in your current situation. I certainly am. Music is the ultimate mood enhancer and I have been doing a lot of listening.

My playlist is a simple pleasant journey that does not take take itself too seriously. Well, It does begin a little serious, but the rest of it should just make you smile. We have a little soul, has some power pop, and some quirky and some retro twang. I started with The late Sharon Jones cover of “This Land is Your Land”. Woody Guthrie wrote this as an answer to God Bless America, a message that he felt was out of touch with the reality of many Americans. "This Land Is Your Land" is a patriotic song about inclusion and equality. Seems a fitting message for today. I moved to Sissy Houston, and to Bobbie Gentry’s “Ode To Billy Joe". I always loved the way the string answers the vocals to tell the story. I also had to salute the late Adam Schlesinger. Listening to “Fountains of Wayne” led me down a rabbit hole of fun, with a few surprises. The last song is a new song from my friend Jonah Smith’s project, The New Forevers and it has a nice message of support.

Thank you to The Elements Music for sharing the love!
