Jumi Akinfenwa
Music Supervisor, Pitch&Sync

First things first - this playlist is a mess but so I am so it's on-brand!

During the lockdown period, I've mostly been listening to nostalgic stuff from my childhood and early teen years. Just thinking back to the time where I didn't really have anything to worry about. The beginning of lockdown was quite rough for me but now I've made peace with it all and I'm seeking out simple pleasures.

The playlist is a bit higgledy-piggledy genre-wise and that really sums up how I've been listening to music lately. I've purely been listening for enjoyment as opposed to what would sound good for sync purposes, which has been really fun and has really reminded me of why I decided to become a music supervisor, simply because I love all kinds of music. Things start off pretty gentle and acoustic but then the playlist pretty much descends into chaos, which I guess in some weird way mirrors what's going on now...

I mean, where else would you find a playlist with Sisqo's 'Thong Song', Philip Glass and 'Hounds of Love'?!
