So as I compile this we’re a year into Lockdown (what took you so long!) and this list is a snapshot of the tracks & artists that I’ve either discovered or have been obsessing over during this time. The majority were released in 2020/2021 but a few have been included via Films/Docs I have been watching or that were recommended by friends.

Its been a relatively stress free time and I do consider myself extremely lucky to be able to write this. Work has remained busy and we’ve had some wonderful new releases from our writers and artists. I have snuck a few in here but honestly not pitching – but yes available and we can clear both sides!!

Tiger King & Banana bread seem a distant memory now and my grand scheme to learn piano and run everyday were replaced by hosting Zoom bingo and joining a beer club! It will be interesting to see if any of the changes we’ve made to our lifestyle/mindsets remain once we are out of lockdown and I’m hoping Irvine Welsh has it right when he says;

“Life won’t return to normal. It’ll be much much better than that’

The playlist ends with the stunning Erland Cooper and ‘Where I Am Is Here’ and the song contains the beautiful lyric of ‘Love Now More Than Ever’. For a myriad of reasons in 2021 this is message we need follow so I’ll finish on that.
